A full-bodied gourmand perfume made with sweet, camphorous cardamom, vanilla absolute, and rich coffee.

When I was a teenager 25-ish years ago, my dad took me out of school for a couple weeks to go on an incredible life-changing trip to Egypt, Turkey, and Israel. We drank Turkish coffee, which is beautifully thick — muddy, almost — and infused with cardamom. It was to die for!

In honor of that memory, this perfume is rich, sweet, and almost chocolatey. I use an exceptional vanilla absolute that includes boatloads of crushed vanilla beans to add gourmand depth and coziness. 

Is it inspired by something in Oregon, specifically? Well, not quite, but when you combine it with Kretek, the scent takes me back to sitting in the Pied Cow's courtyard, a core memory of mine from growing up in the Southeast Portland area. I don't recall whether Turkish coffee was an offering on the Pied Cow’s menu, but I remember smelling cardamom and coffee together often while walking through the neighborhood with its old craftsman bungalows. Someone recently smelled Kretek and Kahvesi together and said "This smells like the 90s" which is exactly what I was going for.
