FIRST RAIN / Mint, Ozone, Hay, Oak
Riparian freshness and earth; a field in early fall. A fougère of sorts.
About a quarter of a mile from the house is a small wetland preserve where red-winged blackbirds, frogs, rabbits — and less often, herons and deer — can be seen and heard. This area smells fresh and herbal, and when the first autumn rain rolls in, the scents of geosmin, clay, and loam rise from the earth. Walking the path alongside this natural area is always simultaneously relaxing for its scenery, sounds, and scent, and exciting because it’s difficult to predict what animals you might encounter.
This scent is similar to Fresh Sweetgrass but with brighter aromatic notes.
IMPORTANT: This natural perfume contains two skin-sensitizing natural plant materials: pennyroyal and oakmoss. Each one has been diluted to .006 of the total composition to remain safe for use. However: pregnant women and children should NOT use it. If this will be worn by someone with sensitive skin, then applying it to fibers or hair that do not come into direct contact with skin is strongly recommended.
These atomizers offer a generous spray that create a wide and soft mist. For maximum longevity, try applying to clothing and hair rather than to skin.
